Mou'nes Al Shahania (Harran ASF x Majnona) continued his upward curve with a strong success in the fourth race, a Local Purebred Arabian Handicap (55–75) for 4yos and up over 2200m, Class 5, contested by 11 runners. The five-year-old bay gelding, owned by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Thani and trained by Rudy Nerbonne, followed up his previous victory to register a second consecutive win and double his tally on just his fifth career start, drawing clear by two and a half lengths under Lukas Delozier. Settled at the rear when the signal was given, Mou'nes Al Shahania was content to bide his time as Aaneef Zakhir (Djendel), breaking from barrier 1, went forward to lead before being eased back behind Burkan Zakhir (La Hoor) and Bin La Hoor (La Hoor), who dictated the pace through the early and middle stages. Approaching the home turn, Mou'nes Al Shahania began a sweeping move from the rear, improving sharply to enter the home straight in third before quickly advancing into second. Inside the final 200m, he asserted decisively, hitting the front and establishing a clear advantage that was never threatened thereafter. Aaneef Zakhir, owned and trained by Osama Omer Al-Dafea and guided by Salman Fahad Al-Hajri, kept on resolutely to secure second, finishing one and a half lengths ahead of the third placed Al Maqam. The latter, by No Risk Al Maury and representing Khalifa bin Sheail Al Kuwari, trained by Julian Smart and ridden by Jefferson Smith, closed strongly from the rear to claim third, edging Burkan Zakhir, owned by Hassan bin Ali Hassan Al Matwi, trained by Mohammed Hassan Al Matwi and partnered by Saleh Faraj Al-Otaibi, by a head in a tightly fought contest for the minor honours.
